Hi,

I have a rear brake that keeps seizing which is highly dangerous. I have tried renewing calipers cleaning everything and re-adjusting the peddle so it didn't accidentally engage the rear brake (a fix I found on this or another forum). I was also told on this forum that these rear calipers were susceptible to seizing especially if not used regularly - which is the case with my bike. Anyway I am getting nowhere so i wonder if anyone knows what caliper from a different model will fit on this bike? I'm going to see if replacing with a different unit will work.

Hi Franco, I think you will find the rear caliper off a 749/999 etc will fit

Hi Kevin, thanks for this. I hope all is well with you. It's been a long time!!!
I think it was you who advised me about the rear caliper issues on this model.
I will start another thread in the correct section for one of these calipers
