You don't need to run the surface discharge plugs tbh. They are very expensive with very little or no gains. Useful if you're running hi dome pistons so the electrode doesn't touch the crown, but that's about all.
Use an Iridium NGK and all will be well. DCR9EIX

Though the QA55V can be had V cheaply if you go here http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/pages/database/plug-detail-ccp.asp?partno=QA55V

At £4.70 a plug it a damn site cheaper than the ebay rip off merchants.

Only ever had them in my 955 Corse and Dallas's old 748RS, which are both high performance race only engines

Craig,

the QA55V are cheaper than DCR9EIX if you buy from the source I linked above.

That's a chuffin good price on those. I'd still go with an iridium or even normal copper core for a regular motor, but that link is bookmarked :)

just shave half the weight off the crank, bump the compression right up and move the rev limiter up to 13000 rpm and your getting close

I've put Iridium DCR9EIX in the 748 which cost me £6.50 each - we used to run these in the DD bike.
I've put original DCPR8E in the Hyper (as you need 4!) but managed to get KTM boxed ones at £1.50 each :D

If he did that he'd be back in DD! Pmsl
