I am looking into making some suspension datum tools, ie, the bit of kit you can measure your rear ride height exactly with. Would any one be interested.

I dont know how much these are to buy from Ducati or a suspension place, but im sure we could do it cheaper.

Dont forget you should really check this height everytime you adjust your chain!

Perhaps we could get someone to do a feature in pronto, so we understand the importance of the setting?

Your thoughts.

All ready made several, the ones I have sold to mates and DSC members were £25 each.

By all means get one made or make them yourself. However, They are available off the shelf from K-Tech for £48.

I did consider getting one made - but at that price it simply wasnt worth the hastle. They are laser cut items complete with adjustable brass location collars that fit into the frame.

Remember that if you measure to the top flat surface of the rear wheel nut that you must add 20.5mm to the reading to get the correct measurement.

Also, make sure that you lift the bike to the top of the suspension settling point each time before taking a measurement. The stiction of the rear damper can make a difference of 10mm.
