what did you think of the longer race format? i quite liked it although as it turned out we had two shorter ones really anyway.

i would like it included again although i do understand the cost issue for just one race.

I'd prefer two races, and not just coz I got a crap re-start.

Aggregate races are a load of rubbish in my opinion, and all the hard work done in the first half is easily undone in the second.

Also, anyone falling off or failing to finish, would get a second chance in race 2.

It's a looooooooooooooooong way to go for 1 race.

It was good. But I would have prefered it without break... But things happen and hopefully David is still with us.

I'd have preferred it to have run out as a single 30 minute race. Not only because it wasn't nice to see one of us get hurt but because a long(er) race brings fitness and stamina into play. My fitness instructor always told me you have to keep exercising for at least 20 minutes before you start properly burning fat instead of glycogen, and I've got a lot more of that in reserve to burn in a long race than racing snakes like Dom and Nick

I like the idea of varying the format from the usual two sprint races. I like the original idea of a time trial too.

Some variety is a good idea I reckon, allows us to experience the different types of racing.

I reckon a 30 minute race is a good thing. If you like the idea of two races, what about two 30 minute races? :D

The two sprint races are good for me but I like the idea of throwing in a single long race, but would prefer a proper long race of maybe an hour. Half hour (even without the break!) just isn't testing enough!

Saying that tho, another half hour would've just let a few more people overtake me! :(

I wont submit a vote as I can't really tell if i'd like it or not. To be honest as i'd done the 2 trackdays already I was quite grateful to see the checkered flag but that would just be a fitness issue for me I guess.
I like the idea of having it in the series as it's something different but i'd have to seriously question my fitness if all the races were that length of time.
I also like the idea of 2 races as as already mentioned - if theres a crash then you have a chance to put things right and try again in Race 2.

I'd prefer 2 shorter races.

My reasoning; I'm trying to learn as much as I can about racing and I really only gain this from being in races (trackdays only offer a certain amount of learning opps for me) and then the reflection afterwards of where it went wrong/right.

The opportunity to have 2 seperate races on the same day would offer me the considered opportunity to "commit myself more to the start", "brake later", "try a different line" etc, etc...... this after taking the time to reflect on the first race's shortfalls.

As an aside, I'm learning that its a lot easier for me to go faster when I'm chasing someone than when I'm out on my own - this does not necessarily happen on trackdays nor even in qualifying.

My best laps are when I'm racing closely with others. I reckon that pretty much wherever you are placed after the first lap will dictate (give or take a few places) where you'll end up. You'll spend your time jostling with the riders around you and using blocking lines, etc, etc.... that you might not be able to easily break out of that group.

So back to the point;.......... more races = more time to reflect / regroup and hopefully improve. The idea of different formats is interesting, but I'd still go for 2 races a day (even of 30 mins each).

How about a Le Mans style start????;)
