Are we having instructors at TA4?

If so, can I book one for the second session?

I want to knock at least 10 seconds off my Cadwell time (2:09 on my first and only visit ) and need to sort out both Hairpin and the Chicane to do this. (As well as every other corner)

Problems I believe I have

Entry speed too low / Braking too early
Too "Polite" to overtake
General lack of talent :)

Problems I don't have

Anything that could be related to the bike - It's definitely a rider issue

"Will there be instructors?"-yes mate, and we'll all be wearing 'tasteful' yellow jackets so you won't be able to miss us. Come and find us in the holding area and someone will tow you round. There will be a choice of:
Dave Cook-CSS Instructor
Richard Sneig-CSS Instructor, and future DesmoDue racer
Chris Butcher-CSS trainee, and DesmoDue racer
WeeJohnnyB-NoLimits Instructor, and bike crasher of renown
Me-I can show you how to fall off at most tracks-I've practiced..............
John Lawson-doing novices,
And maybe a couple of others.

Can you book em or is it a free for all , never been round cadwell before & would like some help with my riding as well , the tracks over here are not up to much , so the thought of some real corners is a bit daunting :)

Looks like there's 2 of us in the queue then.

Just had a thought that it could be useful to do 2 sessions with 2 different instructors, as they way people give (and recieve) instruction can vary, and one instructor may be better for me than another....

Worth thinking about.

You book them on the day mate so it is a bit of a free for all-but there's enough of us to go round-and round and round and-I'm sure you get the drift.

Hi Guys,

I must point out that I'm afraid Monty has it wrong. While Richard and David are Coaches for CSS, Chris is not and is still trying out for us and has not passed yet.

Always wondered what the criteria for a CSS instructor was. Do you have to be real quick to start with, or is it more focussed on ability to learn the skills and then pass them on effectively?

Cos' I've seen some non CSS "instructors" who were seriously quick, but their communication skills were so poor they couldn't teach a baby to cry.

When I did level one some time ago, the instruction was top notch.

Looks like Richard or David are top of the hit list then WJB later in the day for another point of view ;)
