Has anyone had or know of any Rocker problems in Testastretta engines. Or has this been banished now with the mod's to the engine?
quite rare but not impossible to have happen but Testa's are far less susceptible .. dont be complacent with the warming up though ......
As far as I am aware there have been no problems with the Testastretta engine, it's the future! ;)

Good:)
One thing that is putting me off an S4r or ST4s is the 996 engine.
Maybe a 998 or 999 and a set of Helibars is the way to go.

As long as its a 998;) and not one of those dodgy 999 thingies.
Actually TP is spot on. 996R
Seriously, i've heard that the oil feed to the heads/rockers on the short stroke 'stretta engines is far better and therefore oil gets there a lot quicker on start up. I'm not aware of any rocker probs, but still use 15/50 oil, warm it up carefully, keep fingers crossed and regularly use the prayer mat, and use copious amounts of extra virgin olive oil on my spaghetti in the hope of avoiding any further Rocker Horror Shows.
Webteam, at this point i think we need a big fingers crossed symbol instead of:o
