Kinda good to be back - obviously lots to catch up on and probably too much in DD to try and review, has anyone done a highlights at all ???
A few pics from the Disney website already (anyone care to name the Green and blue members hiding there - lol).
Two major lessions learned:
1) At nearly 6 years old, we tried to pack in far too much for our little girl with all the Disney park visits - only one day off from them was not enough (although she did love the water parks).
2) DONT go to Disney in June - its when many of the American kids are on holiday and the queues in the parks were terrible.
Now we just need a holiday :(

Darned hard work Florida. We did 2 weeks - one at the parks and one at Clearwater but we went November. Did see a Shuttle launch at night which was nice though. My youngest was only 2 at the time.
And yes we needed a holiday when we got back - phewwwwww!

Nice one and good timing - most of the local kids will be back at school hopefully.
Avoid the west end of the I-192 like the plague - the road works there are terrible, we had a 20 min wait every time we wanted to go to Disney or get on the I-4.
On a more positive note - I was happy to see that the Saturday night car cruise at Kissimmee was still going strong and there is also a bike crusie on a Thursday night as well but its mainly cruisers / chopper - but there were a few sport bikes there (with their fairings dragging along on the floor - lol).
Seaworld is better than ever and great for kids that like animals etc.
Universal is good - not as hectic as Disney but the Islands of adventure was a little disapointing for our 5 y.o. girl - bigger kids (like you - lol) will love it !
Didnt even get to Wet n' wild that does a night time disco session now.
Disney:
Ques were horriffic so hardly did anything really - but must do rides for us were 1) Mission Space and 2) Aerosmith rock & roller coaster - both really good. Test track at Epcot was a blast as well as we took our little un on for a blast and she loved it - its just a fast car ride and she could get her head around it.
Fastpass tickets work differently in both of the parks - if you want to know more drop me a line.
Finally the two Disney water parks were brilliant - Typhoon lagoon has a fantastic wave maker in a huge bay setting while Blizzard beach has the bigger thrill rides.
Pencil in a few day off when you get back to recover - lol
Cheers - Frank
Thanks for the heads up on the road works and the bikenight at old town , I,ll pop along and grab some pics I,m pretty sure the 99* bling boys will be interested :P

Oh yes - piccies - that reminded me....
We nearly got caught out with the stronger X-ray machines in Orlando airport. Apparently they WILL wipe out any undeveloped film in either cameras or container in suitcases.
We had to open our luggage up at the check-in desk to pull the film out and put it in our hand luggage - which is where I prefare to put it, to tell the truth.
Trying to think of anything else nice - there was so much - lol.
We got a bit tired of treated like cattle in the Ponderosa buffet dinner - ok for evening meal but not breakfast/brunch.
Shonies we found was a nice change - buffet style but not treated like cattle as much and for some old style American breakfast for a one-off try a 'Cracker-Barrel' - it is a laugh.
Finally one of the gems we like, is an Australian diner called 'Outback Steakhouses' - a bit more expensive but the atmosphere and meals are excellent.
Good luck with the waistline !!!
