Bike's looking velly nice.

I'm really looking forward to this one as well as I've never done the GP circuit.

How do you know you're in group 4?

Had new supercorsa's fitted today + gave it a quick check-over. Scrubbing tyres in tomorrow on Kent meet ride-out. Might be joining you for dinner at the Mexican tomorrow night. If not, see ya Monday.

Just noticed I'm in the 4th group too, hope this is Inters or below, or I'm in for a scary time....

TP

I don't know because I can't find my paperwork but ... I would have thought that 4th was fast?

:puzzled:

You should be able to overtake me though - I'll be on the monster so you won't be the slowest bloke out there.

:D

They've changed the groups a bit - ACU has been cancelled and is a Fast group now. There's a slow inters and a fast inters now.

Oh. I'm not keeping up with events, am I?

I guess that means I'm in slow Inters - they got me half-right anyway. ;)

1 Novice
2 Novice/inters
3 Inters
4 Inters/Fast

Just guessing not official not on the paperwork

I haven’t done Bands GP before but I have been told to expect fast in any group.

I expect clearways to be interesting coming down the hill in to it.

I will be taking it easy to start with (well as easy as you can in group 4) and looking to enjoy it rather than scare myself or bin it in the first sessions.
;)

Louigi will be there on the Desmo Due, so be gentle with him - I gotta race it in 6 weeks :P

TP, you could learn a lot from Rich, if you can stick with him

I've heard he's slow now anyway :P ;)

Your bike's looking good, Eric. Mine's race ready too - grubby, rusty and in it's crappy old trackfaring. Just wondering whether I should try to tighten the chain as it seems a bit slack, having just cleaned off some of the rust and loosened it up a bit.

Just beginning to wonder if I really should be trusted with a bike like this :alien:

Just checked mine and seen I am down for 4.........DIBBBBBLLLEEEE!!!!!!!

Considering my last 10 minutes of tracktime have resulted in two offs and I've just got my baby back I'm definitely going to want to take it easy...

Just checked mine. My paperwork says 4th group. No WAY. I rang last Monday and asked to be moved back to novice from Inters but how the hell did I ever get put into Group 4 :puzzled::puzzled::puzzled::puzzled:

Let's hope they're being flexible otherwise I'll be in the cafe all day too. :(:(

How long has it been 4 groups???

= less track time

= more profit

but I guess it was cheap for the GP circuit

We will have all you need with us tomorow

Just get there early tomorrow, bring your bike close to me and I will start adjusting bits and cleaning it. I do this when I see neglect of any kind. (Not yours Dibble)

Little bit loos is better than tight were a chain is concerned

Ok. Thank you. Will not attempt such a tricky bit of mechanicking today then (Mike the Mechanic will be seething if he sees this. He's shown me exactly what to do twice. Sorry Mike)

See you there wild man should be ok

First session is Two siting laps with no overtaking then fast’ish behind an instructor not to be overtaken
So we can learn were to go and braking markers.

Then no overtaking on the first lap of each session thereafter.

It has always been 4 groups but if it runs well we should only be getting one session less than a three group day normal price is £250/£260 so one session extra £90
is a lot. like all days you just have to see what happens.
just pray for a dry day because rain gives P**s poor value every time.

Well, this is a posh group of Ducati riders, so you might find you're not, tomorrow ;);)

ericthered40

190 bikes 4 groups and 52/53 Ducati so plenty of Rising Sun out there to deal with, so keep your elbows in on the long straight.

I can't believe anyone is criticising the the cost, last year the average cost of a day on the GP circuit at Brands was c£250 with 3 groups.

At £170 (and bear in mind those that are non DSC have paid £199) that is a dirt cheap GP day, with the Indy circuit costing circa £155 this year.

If Apex thought they could have sold a quarter ess places for nearly 40% more money per person then that would have made more commercial sense, instead they chose to give more people a chance to ride this awesome track ....

And I'll take my coffee black with a sweetner first thing ....

See you there lads ..... and lasses ...

Be in no doubt - £170 for the full GP circuit at Brands is an absolute steal.

Well done P - see you tomorrow.

Just gotta get a couple more bits off the bike, load up, bit o dinner & bed.

Bright & early start :D

Guys, keep me a spot at the track in the Paddock..I will be on my own and in need of moral support... !!! ...as I am still shaking after an initial highside fortunately corrected in time and an escursion on the grass (wet) after the gooseneck at Cadwell last wednesday.... and the track was not that wet at that time...
See you tomorrow...

7.45'll be fine Neil.

As long as you give yourself a little time to sign on and get settled before the briefing at 8.30 you'll be OK.
