So you're blaming the tyres now are you :lol::lol::P
Fantastic tyres, mate. I raced on them and once warm couldn't get them to slide. A friend of mine uses them on the road on his S4R and he loves them.
If you see a used set laying around on a pair of black marchesini race wheels, I'd gladly take them of your hands.:(

Felix mate,
If I see a set on a pair of black marchi's they will be back at yours in no time and thats a promise.
Thanks for the feedback.
What are they like when they start to let go, quick or predictable?

I don't know what the race II's are like but I had a Race 1 hard compound on the back of my R6. It lasted about 2000miles before it was replaced due ti a puncture. I recon I'd have got about another 1000miles otherwise.
Grip was poor when tyre was cold, once warm it was awsome. It was OK in wet as long as you didn't lean over too far, (theres no treads at the sides). It did cool very quickly and anything less than hard riding won't keep temperature up.
Not really a good choice of road tyre.

warm conditions...lovely!! Damp/cold/slightly col (!)...horrible!! Had some fitted and would not use at all unless it was bright, sunny and dry...have converted to 012ss now so I can ride a bit more!! Great on track tho
Geoff, im going to be changing mine soon, ive shot the rear. The front is still in very good condition, if you want?

Thanks for the offer Andy but I can buy a pair for the extortionate prices people are asking for rears only, false economy really.
Even the guy who is selling me these says he cant do a rear much cheaper as he then has to sell a front no one will want!
Bugger
Come crying to me when you get a puncture then........:P

ive tried them, love them, the front turns so much quicker than my old diablo corsas, ive got a set of pilot powers on now, havnt had a go yet as im not fit to ride,if i dont like them im going straight back on race 2.
are the powers the dual compound relacement to the race2's??
be interested to hear what you you think about them?
powers are just the road going ones, standard on the 999 now, the old race 2 was m2 rear compound, carnt wait to try the powers & to ride again,im around 2-4 weeks away yet
