I'm at work in sunny Shoreditch at the moment, it's bloody chaos, army wagons, police, ambulance. fire brigade, bombs, fires, dead people someone here said it's as high as 30 now many many innocents seriously injured.
really the whole area is in a state of total confusion, all you can hear are sirens, and more sirens
Don't sound too good, the army have been mobilised in certain areas, main line stations shut no electricity, no buses no tubes

the mobile network shutdown was worrying-trying to trace friends and family at a time like this...finally got a message from my wife that she left for work later and took the scooter to find roads blocked and a policeman telling her worse news than currently on the TV...keep safe.

Mobile network probably shut down to prevent further detonations.
Need to be aware of all packages .
Stay safe.
Not enjoying life in the city today. Hear sirens every 5 minutes. I dont know if i can get 60 staff home either. If I get home i need to come back tomorrow.
Unfortuantely the joys of my first track day on Monday seems a bit far away!
Strange eerie atmosphere.
:(
Kerry, if you can get out as far as Eltham i can take you home .....
Cheers Dibble - looks like London bridge may be OK, then ride in tomorrow - early! If not I will sleep in the office.
take care out there.
It's strange. I'm based near Oxford Circus & there are less sirens than usual today.
A very sad day. Not looking forward to travelling home by train later (or tomorrow for that matter) - that's if they're even running.

I sincerely hope that all those who we see and talk to on this board are not involved, as many work in the city, in either the incident or their friends/families.
Horrible news...my heart goes to all those personally affected with this tragic event

Has everyone checked in ok ?
Awful day for many many folks :(
I've been watching the events unfold since early this morning and one thing that has struck me is the composure and efficiency and apparent calm displayed by so many many people.
My thoughts go out to all those affected by this.
We are one nation and these scuzzers will not succeed in dampening the great British spirit. The Nazi's failed in the 40's and I'm pretty damn certain Al Queda will fail in the 21st century.
I know the namby's out there we hear on the news will say we have to show compassion to all people, but this type of person and persons have no place in our society and although I applaud the PM's speeches on the radio today, I hope he and his advisors now realise that more stringent measures have to be made to ensure the safety of our nation and that includes the apparently lax immigration strategies that let certain individuals into our society in the first place.
A very sad day indeed.

BC checking in... we've been in a state of Major Incident Alert all day (I work at Great Ormond St Hospital) have been directing traffic, calming distressed people, acting as tour guide to the millions of people stranded with no transport, we've treated 65 walking wounded and we are now the morgue overflow for London. What a day. We heard the Tavistock Place bomb from the office and I said that's not thunder...
Hope everyone on here is safe.
To the guy on the black Monster at the Angel, yes the Paso is a weird looking machine, but it's a Duc! BC
i was working up past GlenEagles today, Security up here is unbeleivable, i have never seen anything like it in my life. Seemed to get even tighter when news of the scenes in London got through, alot of Chinook Activity overhead.
Condolancies to all those affected.
I cant understand how people can do this to the innocent, and never will.

I guess the problem m8 is that the extremists don't see our attempts at putting western democracy into affect by killing their mothers, children and sisters with 'accurate' bombing raids in Iraq and Afganistan as being enabling like .... :(
