Having a twiddle with the suspension on my 2011 evo. First chance since had to ride it in anger due to the poor weather of late. Anyway according to my manual the stock setting for rebound is 12 clicks from closed, I could only count 8 and it was set on 3. As far as I know the forks have not been modified by previous owner. Is this right or is the manual wrong. Can some check theirs to compare mine with.

Turn the screws at the top of the forks clockwise till you hit the stop—then 12 clicks anti-clockwise to decrease damping and return to the factory setting.

BTW about half of the magazine tests of superbikes set fork rebound damping at 4 clicks out.

For the shock, kneeling at left side of bike, turn the knob anti-clockwise to decrease damping till you hit the stop. Then turn the knob clockwise and count the clicks.

I turned them all the way in and could only count a max of 8 clicks. I settled on 5 clicks so sounds like I'm pretty near then.

8 clicks doesn't sound right. May be worth having it looked at

Yup that's what I thought. I have double checked made sure I have not miss counted. The adjuster just does not want to turn past 8 clicks. Not going to force it either and make things worse. K tech kit to sort it lol.

Good a reason as any for an upgrade :)

If you only have 8 clicks when you should have 12, sounds as if the forks have already been apart and reassembled with the fork caps screwed on to far
