I'm coming back to UK for this one......anyone else doing it? Get a chance to ride a 749 and 999 round the track as well as tuition on your own Ducati. Perhaps not so good for those of you with 749/999 already but great for those of us in the old shape group.

Can't wait, not done a track day since March and my feet are itching....

Ade.

Well, I've taken the plunge too :o
A td with tuition with Frankie Chili _AND_ a free ride on a 749 and a 999 will possibly make up for missing TA4 :(

i will be on the yellow 748 - mate on either 888 or mille, both booked for a 999 as well, though don't mind too much - a 749R would be my ideal - is that wot you got?

no way, did you book by credit card ?? if so at least you'll get your money back.

yeh, by card 'luckily' but they say I have to contact the company and ask for a refund, wait for the administrators and if I don't get one, to forward all paperwork to them.
Is that right ?
Anyone had to do this ?

Herself has just confirmed we have the 'sorry' letters.

I doubt it'll be sorted in time for Monday, if ever, but i spoke to Brands and they said Jonathan Palmer is talking to the administrators in an attempt to still run the booked ESS days.

Note they haven't gone completely bust, they're in administration which means someone can buy the ongoing business for 1p if they think it's worth it...

The letter says "... the closure of the company and the cancellation of all events ..."
with 5 days to go before _our_ event, I think that means we're stupid to plan on anything happening on monday.

Am I bitter ... well yes (Tony) !
I booked online for the discount, and they billed without the discount ! I think that breaches trading rules !
And it certainly makes me think that they had already given up on the 25th when they presented the amount to mastercard for my bookings.
Would I have paid more ?
YES I WOULD (TONY) !
Why didnt they ask us ?
</angry>

I am so, so upset.

I'm in the same boat - just got the letter today and it says events cancelled from 1st August so Monday must be off. It's a downer alright.

OHO !
It looks like MSV are taking over the dates !
Sounds like we will have to re-book with MSV though, and still claim our money back from credit card providers.

More info as soon as they call me back with more info !

So are we still entitled to our money back from ESS even though MSV have taken over the date??

phil_h

You will get very little out of ESS I would expect.
Credit card insurance is the route to get the money we paid back in the 'normal' way.
I have talked with my credit card company, and am sending them a printout of my booking confirmation together with the official ESS cancellation letter.
They say that it depends on how quickly the administrators talk to them as to how quickly they resolve the issue and pay us back, but it sometimes happens within 2 weeks.

I paid with normal debit card and bank say they can do nothing

I don't want to pay out more money to MSV and find it still isn't going to happen and then have to try to claim that money back as well - apparently they need 30 bikes to go ahead. Will phone them tomorrow to check progress.
