I've never been there before, but I understand it's strip of tarmac with some hills and curves. Can't be that difficult.......

Fast as well. I've got used to be destroyed on the straights by IL4s, and there's a better chance of people holding decent corner speed in that group.

Anyone know what lap times we should be doing?

Myself, James Ellison and Chris Firmin (MRO Powerbike winner) were all doing 1:24's on the CB500's in 1998.

Would think thats a good time, although Fil2 reckons he was doing 1:22's on a trackday recently... hmmm???

:D

1.22 sounds like a good time to me.Fil2 must have been there before

I've just booked it too.

I can't afford it, and dunno if my turbo will be fitted in time, but who cares... I'm coming :D

See you there fellas ;)

inters for me, but seing as I was knocking out 1:22's earlier in the year I reckon I might move up to the fast.

Then again, don't want to show my hand too early!

It's not the full GP circuit with Melborne Loop.

It's the National circuit.

I was there yesterday and certain Mick Grant was going round on a Matchless in 1.22s consistantly.

I'll be there on the 2nd.

I'm currently in inters but I'm starting to question the wisdom of that decision.

Why? You've never been to that circuit, I wouldn't dream of going into the fast group of a circuit I didn't know.

And as you'll be taking the monnie, you'll more than likely be holding the fast-FAST boys up as donnie is as fast as you like, I've seen 160+ on the back straight

Fast guys have no problems getting past, there's no issue with someone blasting past and I'll be holding decent cornerspeed after a few sessions of learning my way around.

I went straight into the fast group at Snet without being there and it was fine.

I'm coming too!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've opted for the "inters" simply as I knew TP was in that group and I'm determined to TRY and hang onto his coat-tails for at least a corner or two!

And...as for you, Mr Spencer, what the bloomin' 'eck are you worried about..."show me the lines"....SHOW ME THE LINES....we're all going to be eating your exhaust fumes anyway! In fact, I probably won't be close enough to your fumes to eat them! Which reminds me...my "claim to fame" when talking to my family and pals about the series is that I have always finished on the same lap as you....albeit by the skin of my teeth sometimes....I am actually quite proud of the fact that (I think) I was the lowest finisher (13th) NOT to be lapped by you at Cadwell!!!

See you all on the 2nd!

Andy #99

Looks like we gonna have a pardy. The old fart will be there too - and I've splashed out on some new tyres so watch out rearsets!!

Travelling up the night before with a mate and his 998S so will be camped / vanned somewhere outside the perimiter wall I guess. Will keep an eye out.

Anyone know a good curry house near Donny?

domski
19-Jul-2005, 23:45
Do you eat anything else Ian? :puzzled:

Rather partial to a big fry-up - just had 4 days in bonny Scotland and proved conclusively that man can live on curry alone; provided you start the day with a big fry-up.

My mistake Simon, I could have sworn it said gp circuit when I booked it. Still I prefer the national a lot more flowing than then gp.
