Maybe it's time to spectate.

When my bike cut out completely whilst gassing it up to Foster's from Shell, I naturally assumed an electrical issue. Coasting to a stop & ever so slightly annoyed, I thumbed the starter to no avail. Having watched the remainder of the race, I checked she was in neutral, flicked the kill switch on and she fired and ran ok. Hmmmm. Intermittent faults are b**tards!

Spent the next couple of hours checking the bike over. Couldn't find owt wrong though? Debates on whether or not I'd caught the kill switch.....not possible whilst holding the bars in any position.

Anyway did the next race. No repeat problems. Still not convinced?

So, I'm out cycling today, mulling it all over when it hits me. As I exited Shell I (now) recall that I looked behind to see where my pursuers were. Being old, I (naturally) had to take my left hand off the bar to look over my left shoulder. As I returned my hand to the bar...................

Time to fit a rear view mirror so you can keep your hands on the bars :p

Like it. Like it a lot. Would it get through scrutineering? Maybe fit a few; for that Quadraphenia look?

From one old fart to another, I did hint at the idiot switch. 😎 Whilst out cycling did you think about my bogging. Lol

Hope that's not a euphemism for 'cottaging'

You mentioned it 'pinking', which indicates its going lean or over advancing. Short of it being sommat simple, like a dirty fuel filter, I think you're right to look at the TPS. How did you set it up originally? I found with mine that the 'factory' setting isn't good, but in your case, with it being intermittent, it would indicate that the TPS is breaking down.

Firstly, Congrats on the win, Mr Pike. Very well done.

As for the kill switch moment...I guess it happens to the best of us! ;)

TPS sensors breaking down?...mine broke down completely at Snett..and we all know what the result of that was.

I did a similar thing with the kill switch a few years ago.

Now I NEVER look back... what is behind you... is not important.
