Never tried on, Demon Tweeks sell them £6.50 each. They seem to have a coating on the threads, which may prevent the air leakage you get with the standard parts.
Thanks Eric, found them i the catalogue.
Does anyone know the thread size on brembo caliper bleed screws?
Cheers Mike

I use them, buy direct from the US, half the price of Demon Tweeks.
They're fantastic :)

Well.....I've used them on my rear brake and found them superb but - not of any help over the std nipples when using a Mityvac.
They certainly make things easier on USD calipers.

Who did you buy through in the States?

Search for Mityvac my friend, there is a specialist place in the midlands (if I remember) that does the spares as well.
I got mine from Hein Gericke - £36.99 item no 29000341
http://www.hein-gericke.com/hg-shop/eurobike/eb_frameset.php
found the other supplier as well:
http://www.premiertools.co.uk/item2140.htm - a bit cheaper.
Frank
Are the plastic mityvac's up to the job or is it worth investing in the metal item?
Sorry but if I am going to buy one I may as well buy the right one:o

Never used the metal - I have the plastic one - its doing ok but is looking a little grubby already.
The only slight problem so far is with the resevuoir bottle that connects into the pump. There is a castle-ated union here and one of the tabs has snapped off already (when I was a bit clumsy at a midnight bleeding session - LOL - NO I am NOT a vampire).
Frank
Thanks for all of the advice.
Yours still soggy from Donington, hoping Brands is warmer:lol: Mike
Bought mine direct from speedbleeders themselves
http://speedbleeder.zoovy.com/
SB1010S x3 and a bag and hose combo.
Even with postage it works out cheaper than Demon Tweeks, and they arrive really quick.

I've got the all-singing-all-dancing metal mityvac in the dinky little carrying case. I got it off ebay bought directly from the States. Bloke's name was Ken something. Cost $40 + $40 postage IIRC (!).
Still came to under 60 quid at the exchange rates at the time, wyheras I believe they are 100 quid in the UK, and I didn't get done for import duty etc. Although I gather that's pretty much pot luck when you buy from abroad.
Best tool I ever bought.

mines metal, all snap-on men carry them on there vans !
Speed bleeders arrived today (4 days from the states)
Unfortunately the sizes quoted earlier in the post are not corect:(
You need ONE of the SB1010S for the rear, the front ones are different SB8125L.
I cannot for the life of me work out the nipple required for the Clutch slave as I have a non standard item and will see if that is the same as the front caliper when the next lot arrive.
In short bleading the back brake was an absolute doddle.
The Mityvac arrived today aswell and it already looks redundant
I've posted in the for sale thread as well, but the SB1010S fit into the 40mm spacing calipers, as that's what I've got fitted. Do you have the 65mm spacing later model calipers? That could be the reason for the difference.
Ah, I've ordered the same M1keyp :sniff:
By the way, when did you order these?
Their site lists the same for all Ducati :(
Anyone have some on their 749/999? Can you help with the model numbers?
Ordered on the 27th
Should anyone want the speed bleeders that I have for their rear caliper they are £ 5.00 each on ebay (I lose £ 1.00 on each after Paypal and Ebay charges:( ) One is listed here
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7991121305&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
And the other here
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7991159595&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
The only consolation Flanks is that when yours arrive you will already have the others on the way:roll:
Looking at the difference betwen what you've got and what I've fitted, you can quickly check which you need based on the spanner needed to undo your current bleed nipples
If the rear uses a different size to the front (larger) then you need the 8125's

I'll see what drops through the letter box first, no rush really. But thanks for the heads up,it could have been interesting had you not posted the differant sizes!

I've been told that good old PTFE thread tape on the nipples can help - sometimes even on the bike as well :o:o:o:lol::lol:
