View Full Version : Stuff I should do between races
Evening
How often should I change oil and filter? (and any recommendations for oil and filter I should use?)
Is there any thing else that I should do between races?

Drink.
I changed oil and filter every other race. But I'm running expensive stuff now so it will be when I feel like it ought to have some.

Lol! So that's the strainer
The strainer is under the plug that is beneath the clutch cover. When that plug has been removed and the oil let loose, you will need a 14mm Allen key to extract the strainer. Its a tubular fine gauze in nylon and about 120mm long and 22mm diameter.

I think the one on Jim's is attached to the bolt head so it's a one piece not two piece version.

Thanks I didn't know about that. So this strainer should be replaced at the same time as the oil and filter?

hatch a cunning plan
Found it !
It's under the temp. sensor housing nut (21mm) situated just under the clutch casing.
There is also a drain bung directly below it, accessed form underneath.
