Hi all,

Can anyone help me there is a strange little button on the underside of the throttle twist grip does anyone know what it is for?

Fast idle button for starting!

Its for a fast idle, As per older models that dont have the seperate fast idle lever on the left side.

Mines got two on the front, kind of high up. No idea what they do.

My wife has one as well and I’m told it’s a cold start but it doesn’t seem to work.:puzzled:

She says the only way to turn it on is with some kind of battery device.
Strangest looking remote control I've ever seen, makes a hell of a racket and the way she swears at it and keeps bashing it around the infra-range must be very limited too.

I asked the same question of the resident Doc.
Then I asked him what the fleshy bits surrounding it were for...he said not to bother with those bits - its the woman

DO NOT under any circumstances touch that button.

It will cause your old bike to make a horrible screeching noise, which will upset your neighbours, especially if it's early on a Sunday morning.

In fact when I was younger they were unheard of. It's probably a European directive that they have to be fitted to the latest models.

But then again we did'nt have electric starts then either.

Aah, those were the days.......
