Got the fuel pump priming properly..it was the relay ! Ha da lovely ride roud the cotswolds...then the rev counter packs up. Pull over for a break...oil dripping from the cases..which im 95% sure has come from the oil filter..head back and im getting brake fade....arghhhhh :mad: To be fair, I think the brake fade is down to the pad material (used my old pads when I fitted the cast iron discs and billet calipers)..so I think thats easily addressed..so..jobs for the coming months;

- Respray rh fairing and mirror (where I dropped it)
- Fix rev counter
- Re calibrate speedo
- Sort oil leak
- Replace front pads


But I still love her to bits...:D

Heres the plan for tonight Rob;

- Have a row with the missus..she gets upset and tells me
where to go.
- Depart to garage and lock self in with 6 pack of Carlsberg export
- Take 888 apart, sort oil leak, rev counter and clean her up.

Pop down 3x on it saturday..good eh..? :lol:

Wetaher permiting, ive got demos booked for 10 and 11 (F41000 and Brutale - should be good!!), so I should be back for 11.30 ish for a cuppa with you..

Why dont you amend the plan slightly, she's hard a hard enough time over the last few weeks already.

- Grab a big bunch of flowers, a card and a nice bottle of wine on the way home tonight.
- Present the card and flowers when you get home.
- Once Junior's gone to bed, suggest she settles down with the bottle and relaxes while you nip in the garage for a couple of hours.
- You gracefully,depart to garage and lock self in with 6 (2-3) pack of Carlsberg export - easy there, the evening is young.
- Take 888 apart, sort oil leak, rev counter and clean her up.
Soon as you're finished, good clean up, and get back in to help the missus Relax.

P.S. that's Relax with a capital "R"
