belts

hi folks i picked up a 900ss on monday for £800 its a bit scruffy but im over the moon , i got a set of belts for it thrown in when i bought it they are new but they say 99 m900-ss900 are these the correct belts for a 93 bike . im just checking as i dont want to do something daft and ruin my mew toy .

Not 100% on this but the early 600/750's have square toothed belts and the later ones round tooth. This may apply to the 900 so it needs visually checking out. I would still buy new ones anyway as you probably don't know the history/age/storage of the ones that came with the bike. :)
