I've been talking with a guy in the netherlands that I do a good amount of business with about bikes and hobbies.
In a conversation with him last night it came to light that he was into dukes, and that he had an old duke in his garage in need of some restoration. yep you know where this is going now.
As the conversation progressed I dug deeper into what this bike was, it turns out to be a 1990 corsa with a good amount of spares, altough not sure what they are, and if they are usable.
He purchased it in 1994 in it's current condition with aview to getting back to full working order etc, but the project never got of the ground.
So basically it been sitting covered up in his garage ever since. Not even been started or anything.
Now then, these opotunities rarey come round, moreso for early corsa's so I am really tempted to take him up on his offer to buy it.
I need to thrash out a price with him, but it will be tricky due to it's condition etc.
It's been dropped a few times, but nothing major, well hope not. Engine will problaly need a shed load of work etc.
What sort of money are we looking at here approx. It's all complete , but apears to be in the same state that it left it' last race meet.
Can't really afford anymore bikes , but this seems to be an chance of a lifetime.
any thought guys, anyone got the full spec for the 1990 corsa.
waiting for some pics, so will add them as they get to me.

Nope, keeping the sps now I'm afraid, dukes and being sensible what thats rob.
I don't drink, don't smoke, nor gamble but do have a serious weekness for dukes. 851's and 888's more than any.
So sod the money, I need to have some retail therapy of the duke variety, and need it urgently
;););).

I think some canny business deals are needed now.:P

Go get it, and enjoy Holland while your there.

These damn Ducatis are obviously the devil's work. How do we fight this dreadful affliction?

Robin, as far as the spec goes give John Hackett a ring 02476 335300-he has just reaquired his old 888 Corse and is restoring it.

By the way you may as well give in to it-you know there is no cure-oh, and Ducati's ARE a religion.
