View Full Version : DD Last Round Sat night BBQ
As cadwell will be the last round for the DD this year......are there any plans for a big ole BBQ at cads..??..or at least a bit of a get together to celebrate the huge success the DD has been for 2006.?

I second this idea! We could probably use my SS as the barby, assuming I can get her running long enough to burst into flames again!
Can the race comittee please organise for that bloody great marquee to be there again?!
Ali
this will be quite a big 2 day meeting at Cadwell.
Unless anyone is racing on the Sat, this will give lots of us the chance to actually park near each other (for a change!!!) if we are all arriving at some point later on the sat afternoon.
BBQ on the sat sounds great Phil - is Fordie up for bringing the BBQ up there?

it'll be a stunning autumn day on the 9th october................
a little early dew burnt off by the warm sunshine,
a warm light breeze coming from the south,
18 degrees max
and a few little fluffy clouds here and there.
the squirrels will be sorting out their nuts for the winter..............come to think of it so will some of the racers i guess!
oh what fun we'll have.

Hiya Guys.. If anyone wants to help out I can bring a couple of BBqs to Cadwell and use the Big BLue RV as hospitality.
Any more suggestions and offers of help and maybe we can do a combined effort!!!!
I cant Cook though as I refuse to bring the wife and Il burn it all.!!!
Suggestions on a postcard

I think this is a spot on idea. I'm quite happy to chuck in £20 towards a bloody great marquee. Worked great for TA4, really made it a special event.

Didn't do TA4 - what was the marquee used for?
Bike storage, tents or both?
Tim
I wasn't there either, but I believe you could have held a football/rugby match inside it.
A bit like the Millenium Stadium
Everyone pitched their tents inside, parked their bikes, cooked, boozed, chatted, changed oil, and generally buggered about. Total quality and free as a bird. We'd probably have to clear it with Cadwell, but I can't see them having a problem with it.
