Do you need or is it prefereable to use a 'Paddock' stand to take out the back wheel of an ST4.

If so what do you guys use and does it need bobbins or some other device fitting ?

No, you don't need a paddock stand for the rear wheel, you can easily take out the back wheel with the bike on it's centre stand...even if you've increased ride height so that the rear wheel is touching the floor when it's on the stand you can shift the suspension a bit, or chock the centre stand up on a bit of plank.

You can also take out the front wheel with the bike on the centre stand but you need to put quite a bit of weight on the pillion seat (last time I used a couple of 25Kg sacks of sand that I had in the shed) to pick the weight off the front, so in truth it would be a hell of a lot easier to take out the front wheel with a paddock stand
