Ok Here we go then. The wife fancys a bike but has a bit of trouble finding one that she can get on too. Well we found a New Honda CB125R which she could fit but is about 6 ins to tall. Does any one know if the rear spring could be made a little smallier. So this could drop the ride height. Is there a company that could make us a rear spring. We could get the seat pad filed down a little ( could get about 1 to 1 1/2 ins out of that) Yes we know it a Honda and only a 125 but i think she needs to start somewhere. Any help or advise must welcome.

Seversal companies lower bikes - there was one in MCN I think a few weeks back. The eother thin the seat out, lower/change the rear shock or both. Try a Google search...

We have just changed the wifes bike from a 600 monster to a 04 Sv650s.
It was too high for her so I got a set of lowering links for it and it lowered the seat hight by 1 inch, I aslo lowered the front by dropping the forks down by 10mm.

she gets on fine with it but I might by a thinner seat, I will buy one because I don't want to mess up the original one.

Watch when you lower the shock / spring as the original side stand wont work. Bmw sell lowered F650's etc that come with new stands

Probably more bike than you're considering, but the Cagiva Raptor 1000 seat height is 725mm, compared to the Monster at 770.

She must pass the CBT and the test first.

if post test, try f650 as mentioned above, if 125 could go a bit older eg cg125....or a dreaded virago!!
