soak some rags in jeyes fluid and hang from bamboo canes about 18" and place them around the perimeter of the garden- have to resoak them regularly

we use to use something called renardine but thats been banned now cos it was carcegenic(like creosote)

or something like this- have used them and they work- but work best in the country side not so effective against urban foxes
http://www.g55.co.uk/acatalog/foxes.html

we very often get badgers and foxes digging up lawns to get the crane fly larvae---- ruins the croquet lawns you know!!!!

import a coyote. They are an upper tier predator. Then you can do a wold to get rid of the coyote and maybe do a puma after that.

Get a toad. They seemed to have scared the ***** out of Dseered terrier. ( http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xmb/viewthread.php?tid=24907&page=1#pid239875 )

Failing that vote Conservative, they might bring back hunting:eureka:

Human hair in a pair of old pop socks.....

That bloke from the TV program River Cottage used it to keep the fox's away from his chickens:D

the toad thread went on forever and was full of great suggestions 8especially the Heron one). So, maybe you could borrow the toad to lure the fox into a box and then let the toad escape out the little hole you provide for that purpose and snare the fox with a leash that you have strung around the hole. Beats importing a coyote.

You think foxes are bad, I have to deal with badgers digging up the front lawns, and they're protected.

Taking a leak on the lawn, and human hairs working so far. Although the buggers still keep coming back

Renardine was great, but stank to high heaven.

When the circus comes to town, nip down and get some lion poo and sprinkle that around the garden. that should scare em off.

On the other hand....to attract a fox or other night predator, use a piece of polystyrene rubbed briskly across a piece of glass to simulate the screech of an injured bird.

All these and other underwhelming tips are available on line at www.i_am_a_sad_anorak.com
