Nat,

"..all modded to fit by the man himself from a FG moulding." you say, what mods where required. You know why I am asking, lol, I am going to try to sort some sense from this lot at the weekend. Holding them in my hands, I don't seem to get a good fit of any nose, standard, corse or QB to the Ilmberger race panels.

I presume this is for track use ....or is Ian going for a daylight only MOT ?

I will be looking for a set of chaepish panels for the Racing I am about to take delivery of as I am not prepared ot put at risk when I use it the beautiful carbon panels with which it is prresently adorned.

Any recommendations ?

Does the vendor of Ian's nosecone do a complete body kit ?

eric....do you happen to know whether the kit is just designed to fit road bikes?

And do they speak English there ?

On the website they show fairings with or without indicator holes ie road or race.
I was helped with translation by member Crunchy, paid by Paypal, recieved emails to confirm payment/delivery(had to translate them,so I hope thats what they meant).
Some of the DD racers have used this company and speak well of them.

Be grateful if you report back when the seat unit arrives......interested in quality of finish and fit obviously.

Cheers

The nose cone its self is from Ricambi Weiss in Germany. They have an Ebay store. The original mould appears to have been taken from an OE strada nose cone. I dont know if they speak english as all of the emails I received where in German - but I just copied them into a translation program. They were also very prompt with their delivery. The over all shape and panel fit (to my original Strada panels) is very good and if all of their panels fit this well I would definately recommend them. You do however have to drill all of your own holes and that is very time consuming as the panel moves slightly when you do each screw up - it basically took me a whole week end to fit to the bike and mark out and drill the screen holes. The surface of the panel does need some filling before painting, but considering these are almost certainly intended as race panels its pretty good really. I do intent to refit the original nose cone at MOT time - it only takes about 20 mins to change them over.
I'm very happy with the results, I wish I could say I painted it myself, but this was done professionally.
