View Full Version : New girl saying hi!
Hi guys and girls :) I know a few of you from Visordown and from the racing/trackdays etc, but for the rest of you, an intro!
I currently ride a 2003 ZX636R B1 and an '97 Aprilia RS250, been riding about 7 years now and have been doing trackdays for the past few years on various bikes. The reason I have come to your wonderful site is that after a weekend's chatting about the Desmo Due class, I'm getting fairly interested and am going to try and find out as much as I can before jumping into it :D So far it sounds like the ideal way to get into racing as a novice with sod all to spend!
Hellooo:D
Mines a hot chocky now - but a nice glass of red vino on the side for later please.....

Yep, planning on dragging the 250 out for a run up to Cadwell :) I'd bring the Kwak, but it's rattling like a bag of spanners at the moment and I haven't had it in bits to find out why! They say two strokes are a pain ;)
That's my pussy Burt, he's very, ummm, helpful at the computer!

Hello, quite a few of us in Nottingham, we meet at The Unicorn, Gunthorpe Bridge on the second Tuesday of the month around 7:30/8pm ish, why not pop along on the 11th :eureka:
Also this thread (http://ducatisportingclub.com/xmb/viewthread.php?tid=24836) might be of interest to you :)
Mines a mineral water please, I'm on a diet :rolleye:

I've seen you guys at the Unicorn before, been down a few times this year :) The ride to Cadders sounds good, you'll all have to slow down though, the 250's not the quickest thing in the world! It's bloody awesome to ride though, so I forgive it

Grib, you mustn't say nasty things about the Aprillia-she's Italian you know, and will likely throw a strop.
There are a few of us on here who are 'Slaves to the 2T' as well as Dukes fanciers-see my avatar.
While you are at the bar I will have a 'smooth velvet' please-that's Guiness and champagne for the philistines amongst us.:lol::lol:

Hey Dibble, how you doing sexy? ;)
KB...yeah, probably on the ZX6? Wasn't it really cold and horrible that day?
Fil...we're thinking long and hard about it. The only thing getting in the way is that we're helping run a National Superstock team next year and it's going to take up most of our spare time :sniff:

Hi Grib and welcome.....
As someone who had also thought of 'having a go at DD' next year only two pieces of advice....
1) - have a look at the post on costs:
http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xmb/viewthread.php?tid=24906
2) - Get very friendly with Nelly @ Cornerspeed - LOL
One of these is optional.
Thanks for the Burbon ;) Frank

Hi Grib, welcome to the board
Look out for the DD bike in my Avatar at Cadwell and come over for a chat and check the bike out, its a proper budget racer and shows that the DD series lends itself to budget racing.
Mug of hot choclate for me, preferably around 10pm Saturday evening, it'll help me sleep in the back of a cold van
Thanks for the advice! skid...I'll try and track you down :)
Only advice I can give you is the Dibble is a tart..... keep away from him.....
Hello by the way :rolleye:
