I have a very nice SP5 and am thinking about a deal against a 916 SPS - does this get anybody thinking??
Please let me know by U2U, as I'm not interested in a big open debate .............. dont take this personally!
regards
Justin
Mate, keep the 888.You have got a rare beautifull thing there,The 916 shape bikes are ten a penny.(No offence lads!)
I would keep the 888,polish it,cherish it and keep it for best.
For road riding there are plenty of 748/916/996's about,(You dont need all that SPS power on the road),even in your neck of the woods.

BTW my SP5 is in England, and I intend to import it to Oz fairly soon, unless I do a deal with someone. It's an awesome bike KeefyB, but sometimes a change is a good thing.
Sounds like you have already made your mind up.:(

I'm just open to ideas I guess
If nothing happens, then I'll just have to live with the SP5 ......damn!! .................... seriously, I do love it so I am in no way resigned to getting rid - just like to find out what's out there.

I'd get a test ride on a 916/996 and see what you think. You may hate it...

I have ridden a 748 SP and liked it
It's certainly different to an 888 and a bit easier to turn, but a little less rewarding.
NO!!!NO!!!NO!!!!But if you are resigned to commiting blasphemy, have you got any bits you want to sell me for my SP5 before you do!!:DYou certainly won't have any problems selling it.:(
