I am going to take the gamble and run a single height number plate on my 748 and have it above the cans. I was wondering whether anyone has done this and if so how can I do the indicators. Chap I bought the bike from mentioned that you can put the indis behind the grill on the seat fairing.

I did this, it`s tight but it will fit, I took the reflector off and made a bracket and mounted small indicators each sice of the plate. This looks good but had too much hassle from the police, have now fitted a tail tidy kit, which still looks good with a slightly bigger plate. :D

This is the one thing that concerns me. Did you get a fine or a slap on the wrist?

i made my own bracket and ran a single line plate, me and about 10 lads got pulled for a spot check a few months ago, and they did about 5 of us for non conforming number plate, we all got a £30 fixed penalty fine. No points.

Yes, see this.
