You don't realise how big it is until its parked next to something else, look at the seat height and the position of the bars (and strategically placed beer fridge:lol:)

Now that I want a go on Shaun-I have always fancied one of them-but it would have to be ORANGE for me.;)

and the door to the Gimp room, and the sleeping bag.......

We've still got some unburnt torches and pitchforks from the last wicker night if anyone wants to round up a few villagers and go and visit Shauns house.
Ah, cries of "burn the monster" still ring in my ears.

Is that a Maxton spring on the 996? Took mine in to hobbsport a couple of days ago (fork seals) and he was trying to sell me a hyperpro suspension kit that had a purple spring very much the same shade as the maxton ones.

Nice bike by the way! :)

the purple is a HyperPro trademark, I don't think anyone else makes purple ones ....

just got hold of a titanium spring to fit the 999, it only weighs 460gms for a 160 length spring, very, very, tasty.

Looks nice Shaun.

I think it's nice when a Ducati Rock (reads Ducati all the way through) decides to go A.W.O.L.

Good luck matey

You've outed yourself. Let's just see what happens :

No Maxton ones are definitley purple! Only been there once about 9 year ago but I remember boxes full of purple springs everywhere one of which ended up fitted to my new 96 blade.

Check this out for Purple springs.

http://www.esling.btinternet.co.uk/maxton/

That was a bit weird, like I said I only went there the once all those years ago but if you look on the wheel alignment page that Fireblade is my mates who also took his in for new suspension the same day as me. I remember Ron Maxton asking my mate if he minded him taking a pic of his bike with his new invention the "Ronometer" attached. Was a little put out that he wanted a pic of my mates bike but not mine! Forgot all about it till now.

Sorry Shaun for thread hijacking! :D

Nice bike, Shaun. KTM have a pretty good line-up of bikes with the big v-twin engine. I like the Super Duke. Cracking bike that. But, I am saving me pennies until the release this:
