on a more ducati based theme, which is why I joined here , can anyone help me out on a few items of info.

what would be the best 999r to lookout for.
is new allways the best option, or is a good used bike more viable from a spec view point.

what problems shold I lookout for and what probs can I expect to get with one.

what are the difference between the 999r models from it;'s early models to current model year.

any help would be nice before I go out and start to look, need to be armed with as much info as possible .

thanks K

If money is no object get a new 06 or 05 one.
You can also consider a second hand 04 if the price is right, but i wouldn't a 03 (older swingarm, grey frame, etc.. = a lot of depreciation, not mention the 04's and forward look a lot better, imo)

Kitty

i can't help you with the spec, but if you buy a new one be prepared for horrific depreciation.

If you look at the price of 03 and 04 models in the used market privately you'll see what i mean.

There are some good deals about at the moment with it coming into winter.

You can check out all the '05 specs on Ducati's own website. The previous model year archives will fill you in on the older bikes.
Here's the 03 bike.

Funny when I think of TP it's normally Aurthur Daly, not Aurthur Negas that springs to mind
