Anyone coming along, now I've got the bike and before we strip it to check over winter I just had to get out for a play on it. So Cadwell next Tuesday is only £45 for the day with Focussed Events :)
I'll be on the red 620R ;) ;) ;)
Oooh, the benchmark track for the benchmark bike!
We'll be expecting 1:44's ;)

Thought the quickest was a 1m47 ?
Matters not a bit to me as that's a fantasy time as far as my ridings concerned, I fully expect the bike to get bored and kick me off, if I can get under 2 mins I will be well happy :)

He only got down to 1:46's on the race weekend I think - I can't remember. He's done 1:44's around there before though. He only went as fast as he needed to.
1:47 was my fastest time around there - that was on Supercorsa's at the MRO meet though.

LOL I'm not worried, just remember this bike didn't win because of what it is.....the fleshy bit on the seat had more to do with that and now that's been downgraded ;) ;)

No *****...... :(
If I might offer a bit of advice it's 'don't get supremely cocky by the last session and try dropping into charlies 1 flat out on the first lap as if you're on race temp slicks.....' I'm sure Andy would agree.
See you Sat morning for the real race bike...

Yep, I'm in inters too on this one. Just got the fuelling sorted (I think) after Power Commander hassles, so keen to find out what it's like. Last few track days I've been in Novices because I've gone with newbie mates. This time it's "for me" so gion back in Inters again. This'll be my 8th outing at Cadwell this year :)

Brilliant HW see you there :) mines the red 620SS, also have our Aprilia RS250 with us.
See you there :) Hopefully I'll be on the Aprilia RS250, if not, I'll be sharing a GSXR750 K4.
"Hopefully I'll be on the Aprilia RS250"-hmmm-tempting, now if the new chassis arrives before the weekend, AND I get the time to re-build the TZ, then I MAY get the chance to come and play-but don't hold your breath..................
John
I'm in Inters too, so not usually quick enough to play with most people! It'll be nice to get back on the two-squeak for a change :)

Whoever is going...give me a bell when you are there,be nice to meet some others from here, I am quite new so dont know anyone really. I will be in long wheelbase transit, with Xpress Racing all over it. If its raining I have a six meter by 4 meter awning on the side of the van, also generators for tyre warmers etc.

Booked on today as well in inters.Anyone got any idea of the weather?Looking forward to meeting everyone..Anyone at TA5.I,ll be on a red 900ss.Idon,t know no trackdays all year till TA5 and thanks to this board 2in a month. In winter.
Well, weather at Cadwell is a bit of a law unto itself anyway! I'm fairly local, but it can be blue sky here, and rain at Cadwell. It's in the Lincolnshire Wolds (what passes for hill around here!) and it's often damp.
I've ridden Cadwell 7 out of the 8 track days I've done this year and half of them started off wet. Often, then track will dry out by mid morning so don't be put off. :)
I love the place though, and don't need much of an excuse to ride there.

Well what a day, 2 wet sessions and then 4 dry ones. Gave me time to get used to having no HP again. Loved the bike couldn't really fault it in any way !
Here's a pic of the No.8 bike without Geoff ;)

Don't you just love rumours and hearsay :o
Just to set the record straight the bike I am riding complies 100% with the rules for 2006.

The £25 to have it stripped you mean :P
Mr Baines did mention it had hi comp pistons, so that may be worth checking out.

It's £25 to lodge a protest or have a visual inspection, £250 to have a bike stripped ;) ;)
It's in the ACU rules :)
Any other comments or rumours you lot need to get off your chest before this stuff gets boring? ;)
Nice to meet Griff and HW there, thanks for ordering the sunshine guys
It's got lightweight paint and left handed wheels!!!
I won't even get started on the sky hooks etc.

No I kept it shiny side up. I missed the last session because i felt I was getting sloppy, and that's when I start making mistakes. Finish on a high, that's what I reckon. I did come and look for you but the bikes were not there and no one about - did you swap groups?
Nice to meet you today - and what a brilliant day it turned out to be after the damp start.

Seriously - you could be protested and disqualified by the rules as the bike is in that picture!
