Vented Clutch Cover for 748 SP

Being newish, can someone answer this (possibly dumb) question -

What are the advantages of having a Vented Clutch Cover, should and can I fix one to my SP (dry clutch) and will it run better or is it just for pose? :puzzled::puzzled::puzzled:

Mostly pose, particularly if you have a fancy clutch (kind of like a peephole bra), and you get lots of rattly clutch noise if you like that kind of thing. Lets clutch-plate dust escape, or sluice away at this time of year.
