Has anyone tried advancing the inlet cam and fitting the FIM chip ?
Does it make much difference to the mid range performance ?

Has anyone found a place to buy the sprocket needed to undo the cam nut or will I have to make my own ?

... but after visiting Sigma Performance I was persaded not to. I fitted 50mm carbon race cans and the UM239 chip. This made loads of difference across the range. Rideablity was much improved.

I guess you've read the stuff on the Ultimap web site about 12 deg advance etc. Their claims are greater mid range but I find that I've got plenty already.

If you do get this done please let me know.

Did you try any other chips with the exhaust before the FIM one ?

I will have a check around regarding the 12deg before I decide what to do.

after reading the posts on this site I just paid the extra and went straight for FIM
