Not for the bike but for the car...

Had the car MOT'd back in May and my tax is due at the end of the month, can I find the MOT certificate? No is the answer, I've found the emissions test for the MOT and a VOSA report with the usual pass/fail report (brake, steering, lights etc etc) but no certificate.

I'm guessing the post office won't accept these, can I get another re-issued as it will be recorded somewhere? Can I go back to the test centre and ask for a duplicate as I have the other reports etc?

Or am I going to have to have another MOT?

Answers on a post card..

GO back to the test centre and ask for a duplicate

It's not a unique sitiation!
go to the same test station armed with the date of your test and they'll dig out the record and write you a duplicate. They'll charge you a fiver(?) for the pleasure tho.

I got confused when I went to get tax because I couldn't find the right MOT certificate amongst the old ones in the envelope. I had forgotten that the format has changed now, it's an A4 sheet. Just thought you might be looking for the wrong thing there like me?
