Hi folks,
I'm looking to get rid of the air brake attached to the rear of the 748 and found this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DUCATI-748-916-996-998-TAIL-TIDY-NUMBERPLATE-BRACKET_W0QQitemZ8019237044QQcategoryZ10448QQrdZ1Q QcmdZViewItem) on ebay.
Seems expensive, but is the quality worth it - Has anybody bought one?
Thanks in advance!

£75!! The Evoluzione one is the original and the best IMO. Much neater and comes with a replacement plate light. Sell for £35.
Only down side is you need to use a slightly smaller plate ;)

Hi there Just fitted one of the evolution ones , looks good and angles the plate up a little so it helps with the speed camres , one downside is that you have to drill the under tray to fit the light , but thats it . I paid £30 from ducati italia at lincoln , Maybe worth a call ??:burn:

Yep...another vote for the evo one...bought from Mr Nelly.
(yes I know the No. plates bent!)...a 7 x 5.5 fits pukka and isn't too small!

Thanks for that!
The Evoluzione unit looks like it’ll flap about a bit – does it? There is nothing worse! Also the picture on Harv’s shows it sits quite far back.
Chris, that looks good – I don’t have the tools to do that level of job. Might be able to get a drawing done in the office and get a mate of mate to knock something together.
Any others??

Nah, it doesn't flap at all...very solid actually and I guess if you want it mounted in a slightly different position, then its just a case of making some new holes where you want it?

I have one that a mate made from Stainless. It's tubular to accept indicator cables and looks very neat. No number plate light but was designed for max style. It's satin black plastic coated. Looks superb but I wanted to return to the standard look for the time being. Would accept £30 for it plus postage. That way I could wave £20 at my mate to make another and pay the £10 for plastic coating it.
Can't get image to load on here cos the pics are too big but if you are interested you can email me at neil.daley@xansa.com
Don't fit the number plate light.
The mount is solid and does not move, when you fit it add the Kellermann Micro 1000 indicators
