Hello all :D

Whilst I'm building a racebike in my mind I thought I'd check out some wheels capable of running the latest uber-grippy slicks. I was looking along the lines of magnesium/carbon style wheels in a 16.5 inch rim size.

Who makes these?

BST
Dymag
Marchesini
Oz(?)

Any comments/thoughts?

Ages ago I saw some bloke selling a set of 16.5inch Marchesinis in Italy.

He did say something about only top teams (WSB/BSB) were able to get rubber to fit.

Hope that helps

Go for Dymag, they will give some discount to ACU licence holders and as for 16.5 inch slicks Dallas got his from A&R racing no problem so I suspect most paddock service vehicles that do tyres can supply them

Get a good tread cutter, I can recommend John Donnan in Ireland, he's the reason why most of my Super Corsas look like Evos

Looks good but I would need one that fits the road axle.

It's a while away anyway ... and it would be for a SS.
