Monoposto?
Remove the two bolts on the side of the seat(see pic, bolt 22),two bolts under the seat(7).Both 4mm allens.
Now lift up the rear cowling so the pin is clear of the rubber grommet in the subframe.Put a block of wood under the rear of the tank.(Its bolted to the seat)
Look underneath the tank where the seat joins,....there is a 17mm bolt,(5)....remove it and hey presto the seat is removed.
Bip?
As above but with a couple of extra bolts under the pillion seat.

..just remeber to push a little bit the tank upfront (towards the handlebars) before reassemble the rest as when the tank is lifted to remove the 17mm bolt it tend to slide a little bit back... and the holes (for number 7) do not match anymore!!

Doesn't the front of the tank have like two little bars on the front that slide into some rubber grommet thingies (kinda like the rear cover of the mono). If you wanted to remove the whole tank from this point you just slide the tank back out of those grommets right?? After you disconnect fuel lines, etc, of course??

Thanks fellas and to Martin at Ducati Glasgow, its off. What a job seperating the 2 elements off the seat unit. That is some form of nuclear velcro
