I was just watching the 10.0clock news, when an article about the city came on. Its about how well the city brokers, etc have performed this year and are expecting high bonus payments. It then went on to say that most of these payouts will be spent on property. They interviewed an estate agent named Ed Mead, apart from the spec's I could have sworn it was our very own Bostrom998. Can anyone confirm this

can't confirm the latter but I can say that I have heard the story of one city salesman at a large firm that threw his chair at his give 19" flatscreens in disgust after his bonus meeting...

I nearly fainted when I heard how much our bonus was worth this year - (it's done as a %age of basic salary, and is the same for every employee - but as I only joined at the end of September, I don't qualify for it! :(

Cue the "You get a bonus every day because you're a contractor etc etc"

:D

At least that's what I hear all the time ... In my last year of permanent employment I got a bonus of 30% of my gross annual base. That was cool ... I had a few beers that night :D
