12 mega pixel mini camcorder (with av-in for bullet cam) seems very comact, ideal for on board footage but 130 quid?

there must be a catch. has anyone used anything like this & are they suitable

Not sure about the quality of the pic's etc. But, it only has 32mb of internal memory and pic's or video taken at high quality will fill that very very quickly.

You'll need a 1gb memory card to make the most of it, which will cost another £35 to £60.

But, compact, possibly less risky and cheaper than trying to strap your expensive DV cam corder to your bike.

last camcorder was killed this way.
just bought a 1 gb card for my digital camera (amazon £33) would be interested to know how long it would record for & if the battery was up to the job

seller states 2hr 30 mins with 512 mb card?! that cant be right

May get 2 1/2 hour if the quality was set very low. I have a Fuji Digital camera that will also take video. On a 512mb card it will hold 156mins of video in low quality (similar to phone camera's) or 51mins of better quality video.

Similar to still images. 512mb card will hold 3993 images ... but the quality is crap. At best quality it holds 205 images.
