Good news(ish) - I reckon that Sky did a top job though and will be hard to match.

Also, I doubt they'll show the R6 cup, 600s etc......

It'll be good for BSB to get coverage on mainstream TV again, and hopefully open the viewing public's eyes

Yeah, good news, but I agree with Rattler. Unlikely to match the SKY show, IMO.

I wonder which non-motorcycling presenter will get the deal. Commentators???

has the DSC pr team been in touch with sky to let them know about desmodue i recon they'd be chomping at the bit. they would obvisouly have to come up with a fair bit of cash though.

Good news, the more stuff thats "free" the better. Gave up with me analog dish (moved house) and coughed up to Rupert for Eurosport on Sky, I just can't stand Charlie Cox commentating on bike racing.

I for one think that it is bad news, I cant see ITV giving anything like the coverage that Sky did. I dont care about how many other people watch it, but I do care abouth the quality, what happens when and if it clashes with F1 ? do you think it will be still be on will it hell. BSB is relatively minor in compaion and the advertising money knows that.

Some gripe about paying for it, personally I am happy to pay and get what I want.

I don't think the commentary/coverage will be as good perhaps but it has to be a good thing that mainstream viewers get chance to see the best domestic championship in the world live....

I was under the impression that ITV were not very happy with the falling figures for F1. I resent having to subscribe for the many footie channels (i am not a footie fan) just to be able to watch the bikes. However any coverage is a good thing on mainstream. Maybe sky will continue? Maybe not????? Wouldn't be the first time that they have dropped out of a good series .
As far as i am concerned it is good , as last year i only saw one meeting whilst at a friends.

It may not be as good as the coverage it was treated to on Sky, but I for one am pleased that I'll be able to see it at all, since I don't subscribe to the Sky Footb... errr I mean Sports channels!

They'd better show al races live, plus BSS :flame:

Seriously bad news for those already enjoying SKY coverage. ITV will be a short programme, max one hour, so maybe one race live plus some interviews, but can't see any of the other races getting any air time, with lots of ad breaks, probably with a poor quality commentator and will be dropped in favour of anything with more ratings at the drop of a hat. Plus, ITV will have one man and a dog covering it, so two cameras covering the whole circuit no doubt.

Good for those that don't have Sky though.

It's not clear from the article if it's exclusive coverage on ITV. It may still be on Sky too????

yep, i reckon it will mean an hour if your lucky and if it clashes with something else more important like one man and his dog then it will be shifted to the 11.30pm highlights slot:rolleye:

or am i being a bit cynical?:borg:

I just hope the show is better than C4's effort.I missed a couple of rounds on Sky and caught them on C4,....half an hour of chat, then ten minutes of racing. Not impressed!:mad::mad:
