Anti Virus and Firewall

Sick and tired of Norton crippling my PC.

Thinking of trying either McAfee - AVG or CA EzAntivirus.

Anyone have any advice/thoughts?

Zone Alarm is a popular Freebie Firewall.

I don't really like it and use my Wireless router for that side of things and a VPN connection through work. But it works well and does the job.

I use Zone Alarm and AVG the free programs and very good

I use the AVG one too,its mostly ok and I havent had any major problems.
However,it seems to take over my pc to perform checks/updates/whatever, and can do it at inconvenient moments,I cant seem to interrupt this at all,or for that matter even find out what its actually doing,very frustrating.
I did have norton but got fed up 'buying' it every year for updates.
