View Full Version : Seat upholsterer
A 'For Sale' item got me thinking. I am sick of sliding around on the stock 748 plastic seat, so other than paying £150 for a new seat, do we have any recommendations on re upholstering my seat.
Where?
Cost?
And what material?
No wise crack about colour, I have picked Pink with Dayglo green spots.

Give Dave a ring at http://www.hcracetech.co.uk/

I had mine done in alcantara - got a piece from a company in Bradford called Peacock fibres - cost £12 with a choice of colours. Then took the seat to a bloke who's recovered other seats for me in the past - Seatworks in Wyke near Bradford. Charged me £10. He'll add extra density foam if you need it, put fancy piping on etc., etc. but obviously at extra cost. If you do a search on google you'll find his website, I did have his details somewhere but can't find them.

I did a similar thing. Bought a piece of Alcanteria from Peacock fibres and then went to a local upholsterers. I think they charged me £15 and did a good job. I shopped around abit as one wanted £45.
