Glad I didn't go in the end! I was warned by Mark at No Limits that it was a very fast track and attracts very fast riders at this time of year and that put me off. I feel sorry for them all though, but then it's good practice for the DD riders as it's bound to be raining for most of the meetings if last year is anything to go by :burn::D

.... I don't know why I'm smiling as I shall be going to watch all my old favourites performing whether it's raining or not (and my new favourite Ericthered40) :D:burn:

Fact is boys and girls..........we´re here and you´re not.

Had a fabulous day, dry and sunny afternoon, beers, pizza, mates, is it still cold and wet in England?

Ah well, this open pit lane lark is so dull, you just keep going out on the full Jerez GP circuit again and again and again and again and again.............do you get the picture??????????????

Sorry trying to type this with Rattler, Jon and TP, but difficult to type as it´s 1.15 in the morning and we´re a tad ****ed...........

So, please carry on telling us about the weather...........

Negative thinking Dickie?

Repeat after me.

Its gunna be sunny, its gunna be sunny, its gunna be sunny.

Whens the brands day then and who with?

If my knee is sorted I am looking for a date late in February at Oulton to start the seasons trackdays off.

doing brands on the 5th and 26th. lookng at march dates too. think i may well do snetterton and brands again. might even chuck an oulton in in march or early april. never been on track there but racing there this year so will need a trackday or two. chuffing long way for me though.

happy to have cold wet trackdays for practice; i am absolutely pants in the wet so it'd be good experience for me.

no thats true enough, yeah you always have a choice i guess. but i want to go out there and race. and every race could potentially be wet so i would be chucking away alot of time and money. i'll just keep plugging away at it.

i actually didnt want to go out in the second race at donington this year but was persuaded to by, among others,
flanks. they didnt force me to but im glad i did. i made a great pass that was a real plus for me in a really crap weekend to be honest .

O yes snow racing on Sunday my favorite

Steve just to let you know, I haven't raced yet or ridden my 620 race bike . I was happy for the season to start at Cadwell but then decided that as a Racer I should use the vote to my advantage. I still don't know which way it will turn out but for me the chance to actually enter a race without the points WILL help my introduction to the grid. It will allow me to practice at Brands and enter my first race at a track I am familiar with unlike Cadwell were I have only ridden one half wet track day on a set of renn sports without wets.

Like I said my first reaction was race anyone anywhere but after long discussions in the pub with my race support group I changed my mind.
So in my case do you think thinking like this will mean I will never fulfill my ambitions as a racer?

What am I do you recon mate Wimp or Racer?

Eric... that's why NGRRC and BEMSEE both run ACU school/test days. you get start grids and 'pretend' races, advice on suspension, racing, and scrutineering.

i think a lot of the newbies would benefit from this.

i can't say any more... i'm tried of getting my legs slapped :)

I think its important to race in the wet...its certainly a leveller and riding in the wet is so different and most of lack any real experience in the wet.............

My opinion has changed about wet days now....i used to hate wet track days now i honestly dont care if its wet ..cos its good practise and you know what they say about practise.

I remember going down craner curves in race 1 and i actually could not see a thing cos of the spray and rain..was a new expereince having to stay on the pace yet unable to really see...LOL.....it was great fun in an fearfull adrenalin kinda way....

Come rain or shine.....:D

Wimp............... ;).last year the majority of the field were " novices " and racing on a track we never had been on before the " woodland " circuit with the scary hairpin....everyone waited for the inevitable crashes etc etc.....yet did anyone suggest we race it as non-points....did any murmour rise from the ranks of the DD novices..can we race for no points..!!....no..........we just turned up and we raced..sure i can hear the reply now " bully for you lot "...my suggestion is that if it was not a choice you would just turn up and race..

Its a race....and it will be a race ..most will push it as hard at cads for non-points as they would if it was for points....thats the ones that bother turn up..........

No Steve that's what this race series is for. Ducati Soprting Club Members to make the move to racing, or was last year at it's introduction.
I went to watch the first race at Cadwell were the hole grid was full of guys and girls doing it for the first time. Then I watched them turn in to racers during the year. so no pretend race starts or races just leaning on the job so to speak. You know what, it looked like fun so I am doing it.
