personal number plates are cool but every time you change the bike its a night mare .my misses brought me a DAZ number plate nearly 4 years ago and every time you change the bike you have to put the plate on retensionand retreive the original plate wich cost you £105:barfy:

make sure u get it in real big format. people cant read stuff on small number plates on the back of bikes...

I requested the following go to auction via the DVLA.

DUC 749R £1,200 Sold in Apr 2005
DUC 749S £400 Sold in Mar 2004 (BARGAIN!!!)
DUC 999S £2,100 Sold in Oct 2005

did'nt buy them all, made a tidy sum, but not a fortune.

I went after the DUC 999S went to £2000 then gave up. Bought another bike instead.

No I bought another V twin. Now black in colour, getting the last two side panels back ready to finish this weekend. So bike or plate if think the bike was the better choice but would have looked the part on the Ducati.

just looked on dvla site.
any plain 999 plate is £400

at £200 at mo .. watching closely -- bargain time hopefully !!

Same here, got a great plate R999 with 3 great letters as well - £245 all in from DVLA.:D
