Hi,
Saw the Abba stand at the Ally Pally show, the one that picks up on the swing arm pivots.
Any one used one before ? Would anyone recommend this stand ?
BTW it's the new style swing arm.
All the time..... better access to the rear.ooh er!:D The stands are all the same, you just change the adapters for different bikes.
Fantastic bit of kit. Use them regularly without any problems. Worth getting one if you tinker a lot and like Andy says, once you've got it, you just need the different adaptors when you change the bike
I used one on my old 749, but the adapters rubbed away the paint on the inside of the frame lug holes :o I'd hate it to rub away the red frame paint on the R!
Didnt leave it looking particularly nice, but it was as solid as a rock, better than any other paddock stand I've used.

Either have 1/2mm skimmed off or wrap a layer of duct tape around the fittings.
May get a stand ... saw them at Allt Pally and they had a show deal on, saved about £10 or £15 :D
I've got an Abba, works well on my '03 999S and my '01 750 Sport. Great piece of kit.

Sorry to hijack the thread,
Ive got the ABBA stand as well and echo everyone as its a great bit of kit, very easy to use and solid as a rock.
However I dont think the ABBA Front lift will fit a 999 and have used a cheepie under the fork paddock stand, this does the job of lifting the front wheel but its not a nice experiance lifting the front what does everyone else use?

I've had exactly the same problem, haven't found a tidy solution, especially for fork/yoke removal.

Was not planning on using their front lift thingy, I plan to convert the fairing to the race style with 1 piece sides and a full seperate belly pan as per race style set up. This will not work with the front lift adaptor unless I take the belly pan off.
Would have thought it would be easy to rock the bike on to the back wheel to spin the front wheel when cleaning it.
