Got an ohlins steering damper on a 749 2003 and when you turn to full lock on either side it makes the bike accelerate which obviously is very dangerous, has anyone come across this if any answers are welcome.....
cheers mark

there is absolutely no way a steering damper wll make your bike accelerate. probably your idle lever.
i would say its the routing of either your cold starty cablr, or more likely throttle cables................
Do your self a favour and upgrade to a 998 throttle assembly, changing to a single cable. This will also eliminate 30 odd degrees of rotation to open the throttle fully!

I shall investigate the problem and see what happens. cheers

i had something similar, i thought that it was the throttle cable , but it turned out to be the fast idle cable was routed the wrong side of the clutch line, once i moved it the problem was cured
