I looked into it and didn't bother . Generally found that i win most things i want. unless the bidding goes above my max. Thing is if someone is prepared to pay more than you are prepared to, you will allways loose out.

Good point,Ive been sniped a couple of times recently, been highest bidder for six days, then ten seconds to go..outbid.I would have and should have bid more to begin with!.But with the sniper software its not possible to find out a persons max till its all over.
Cheers Moley,I,ll give it a whirl.

Won loads of bargins, always seems to win as long as your bid is high enough. You can do 3 auctions per week FOC. if you want to do more you can subscribe.
I just wait until the last 15 secs and then throw in my max bit. I usually win at a price I'm happy to pay. I don't see any point putting in a bid any earlier than needed - it helps to avoid pushing the price up too far.
Having a fast connection helps mind.
I use esnipe as it's cheap and I got fed up of missing auctions. I know there are free solutions, but you've got to make sure you're pc is on and connected.
I think it's probably saved me about £300 over the last year and cost me £10. Easy maths!

Bidmate is free for 3 auctions per week and you can list your bid as soon as the auction starts, but, it is not entered until a few seconds before the end of the auction.
