View Full Version : Housework Poll
So, who does the housework?
Imagine (if you are not at present) you are in a twosome relationship, just for this poll...........
What do you do to 'keep the house' (and I havent even mentioned the gardening yet!!:o )
C
"Nothing, we have staff" .. how satisfying .. :)
I used to wash up - till she spotted a microscopically small grease spot on the underside of a teacup.
I used to iron - till she went to work with tram lines down her blouse (I also burnt my ear when the phone rang whilst I was ironing)
I used to hoover - till I saw Queens "I want to break free"
I used to dust - till she found out I was merely moving it around the room and under the placemats
I used to polish - till she caught me spitting in the pint mugs to give them a good shine
I used to wax and polish - till she tasted the apples
So you see AK, you can get out of everything if you put your mind to it. I guess she won't be asking you to move the bikes again then
:D

Moi???
It was he who placed it there, after we had been to Nelly's the other week!
I'm partly with Alan on this... us guys try to help out, but we never ever meet a woman's exacting standards, so after months and months of trying to achieve the required standard we just give in - sod ya!
I make the coffee... there was no option for that one :)

i knew it wasn't right to let women get away from the housework and onto computers, AK obviously isn't making enough mess if you've got time for this kind of provocation CK :)
where's the webteam when you need them to delete a thread :) ??
Y'know, I thought I was on me own with this but I guess it's like the AA, you always think you're isolated until you stand up and admit it.
My name is Alan and I can't do housework.

nah, norton should have spotted this virus before it hit more sites .....
Dickie, where possible, I give the house a good whizz round on a Thurs eve, shop after work on a Fri eve, so can sit on my backside all weekend:lol: washing/ironing etc fits in around the working week, as does gardening in the summer too.
Weekends are for socialising & riding my bike (when weather isnt to sh*tty
Question: What do woman want?
Answer: Toasted ice................
Guys, we have no chance.
I do a bit, well put the bins out, my wife isnt employed but she looks after two children and still doesnt have time to keep the house spotless, she hates ironing but does it. I have offered to pay for cleaning/ironing but alas she hasnt found anyone.
Im off out to polish me bike

I guess this is aimed at the fellas - no option for "he occasionally does the dishes/cooks":devil::devil::lol::lol::lol:
I do quite a lot of cooking, which I don't mind. I'm crap at ironing. I can do my own clothes, it's just other peoples- is this wrong?
I drive the wife mad when I decide to have a sort out of kitchen cuboards. Empty everthing out, then get bored and wonder off.
my wife cleans non stop, she loves it.every day.the house is allways spick & span.;)

i do most of the housework. I do my own ironing, all the cooking. My missus does it at times but i guess i'm the bread winner in the cleaning sense.

If I didn't cook we'd starve.... so I guess you can tell I'm not bad in the Kitchen :D
Same here, If i want decent food, I cook. I load the dishwasher, i unload it.
Best bit about our house is ,i open a draw, and find some clothes, when i'm done with the clothes, they re-appear back in the draw. All washed and pressed, black magic i tell you!
I've bought a Dyson, but I've no idea what a Dyson is.
Yep,I do the dusting, hoovering, bog cleaning and a bit of cooking.:saint:
Howdya think I earn all those passouts?!!;):D
I do the lot-but then again I live on my own so who else is going to do it-and my house is cleaner/tidier then Jo's-sad init?
John
I do everything as well.
Flatmate required ...
call me sad, but i do it all 99% of the time!
I cook, clean, wash, iron, shop for two houses on top of being at working on average 50 - 60 hours a week.
Oh and to add to that I am currently finishing the last of the decorating the house top to bottom and starting on the other house :)
And I enjoy it :D I can't help it, i can't sit still much, especially if there are things to be done. Not that you could tell if you saw the house, it always seems to look a tip... :puzzled:
To be fair Fred does unload the dishwasher at times (3 times now ;) ) and as he has said he does make the coffee. Recently with my DIY activity he has also become my helper when making dinner if i get in late :)
