Seriously, until we know what's up with it, we can't do much. Although the site seems more stable over the last 24 hours, I'm impressed. Mind you, the 'we' is TP and Eamonn and possie, as I don't have access to my emails right now as I'm working in the field (bit damp and cold and a bit rockie), so infact, I've no idea what's happening really :lol:

Who knows mate, we don't know what they do with their websites/forums.
But essentially you're starting to hit on one of the reasons why I don't believe it's a bandwidth issue killing the site.

If bandwith is an issue (I don't know......), what about only allowing avatar/banners/etc hosted on other servers... I think that's not really the job of the message board to host everyone's avatars...
And maybe people who understand what I mean can help people who don't... Us geeks have all webspaces everywhere... :lol:

As far as I know in our conversations looking into this, the webteam have already looked at how much the image hosting contributes to the bandwidth used by the board.
From memory it was a very small amount - around 15% - and so removing this option would not have a *big* impact on the bandwidth.
This is why investigations are ongoing to cover all possible causes.
