Errr...Can't quite see what you mean, but it looks like you need some wellnuts

Is that bit off the fairing? Looking at the hole size I would say that Jools is right. You may need the same fixings as the ones which hold your side panels on.

The parts manual shows them as:-85040151A Insert
Wellnuts are shown as 036499020 M6
800063150 M5
Are you using wellnuts?if they work they will do for me.

Mine has a small spring steel clip that slides over both edges of the panel. The 4mm fixing screw threds into that. Look at the fixings up on the headlight frame that hold the RH side panel, same I think. NLA from ducati though but Halfords do Odd Packs that have a very similar item. Do you want a pic?

Mines a spring clip that slides over the plastic to take the screw like Rob describes, you might be able to get some from an automotive supplier for a few pence.

We use clips like this in rack mounts for computers.

Is this the same thing?

Mike,

Those are the same as the mirror mounts and the upper front side panel fixing. M6 captive nuts are used in 6 places on the headlight frame, 3 each side.

Thanks for the assistance, bought some "U" clips from local motor factors, look very similar to Ducati part but use a self-tapper.Does the job,and only 70p for 6.
